The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her first LPGA appearance later this week.

This teenage golfer, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses multiple courses worldwide and often plays against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we have some close matches," she mentioned.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"He practically advised me to play and relax," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has competed in only three events in 2024 and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

But she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with Vanessa.

"He stands as the top athlete globally," the young golfer said.

"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to play, have fun, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge several most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially among youth audiences.

The social media influencer has a massive following and has started her own fashion and living label.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
