Barcelona Set to Play Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. Officials stated they are seeking authorization by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
